I just "upgraded" to Windows 7. My tablet works just fine on it, but now the Corel Painter program it came with wont load.

Any suggestions?

Before it died, I was using an HP Pavillion notebook dv6500 as my main source of school work and art.

For the past year it had started giving me grief (random crashes) which resulted in me having to complete restore the thing over 8 times...

For a while I just restored it and got used to saving important crud on an external hard drive. Of course, the minute I really need the thing it decides it wont start up... I log in, it goes to my desktop then freezes. Continuously. So, wanting to save the two year old computer, I blow out the fan and buy myself a 110 dollar CD (Control Center) and let someone wirelessly mess with it. Im on the phone with the guy, watching my mouse move around and what not in safe mode. He manages to download the virus protection and goes through his "to do" list.

I have 2GB of memory, Vista taking up a half of that just to run and a 1.7 processor. He told me for the fact that I have virtually NOTHING downloaded on my computer, it should be screaming. Well... it certainly wasnt. His advice? "Buy a new one. Not worth a new hardrive." So that was the issue.

DX Well. A new computer is on the way. A DELL this time, so we shall see what happens... 4GB of memory, and a 2. something processor. Hopefully this will last longer than two years and the art shall flow again! <3

Just wanted to explain the absence

Alrighty. Im not waiting for people to give me the input :T

Im setting up a separate FMA account, considering that is the bulk of my work from WAY back. Im going to start posting NEW pieces and the ones I like the MOST in the new gallery. I do like to see how far I've come, but I want people to see the BEST of my work right now. Many of the pieces will be removed Im sorry to say, but not destroyed Ill have them, I just want to move on and try anew. <3
